One seems to be taking a principled stand, even if it is likely misguided. The other is an attention whore idiot.

One Hokie quarterback has lost to UVA in the last two decades, and Hooker is that man. He had multiple turnovers in the final stretch of that game. That alone should rule him out of an early pick.

Mahomes threw a lot of INTs in college, too.

    Just sayin’

As a Vol, Hooker had a whopping 5 interceptions on 631 attempts. Somehow he managed to offset that with 435 completions and 58 TDs for a 178 QB rating. I guess some poor NFL GM is just gonna have to take a shot in the dark with him.

Mahomes threw picks because he had a higher throw count per game than most major league starting pitchers. Josh Allen's college stats were dicey at best. Jalen Hurts lost his job and had to transfer to get another. If drafting quarterbacks were as easy as looking at college stats, even the Jets and Browns could do it.

Josh Allen is usually the guy who gets a GM fired. He just happened to really work out for Buffalo.

Levis and Richardson are both those guys this year.

Good Anthony lasts for a half until bad Anthony appears, or the other way around

Do agents get a cut of players salary if he's franchise tagged?

And Richardson is the guy you draft if you are just trying to buy time, hope the owner will give you a couple of years to develop. Which is why I think McDaniels will draft him. It should be noted that they only have Garoppolo and Chase Garbers as QBs on the roster - didn't hire another vet to come in when Garoppolo gets hurt. And Garbers hasn't taken an NFL snap. I find that insane.

And a couple of torn knee ligaments that it's unclear when he'll be back from, or how effective he'll be when he does. If you're planning to sit him anyway he's not a bad guy to take. If you need someone to step in right away, maybe not so much. So he makes more sense after the first round (or late first round) than a top 10 pick for a desperate team.
