Rooting for FAU felt like watching 1990 Arkansas against Duke in Denver. Even up 7 in the second half, you just knew it wasn’t going to happen for Arkansas. Both came unglued.

The Aztecs took a bit risk by not fouling with a 6.2 second differential. So much has to go right. It did. But if FAU hits its last shot, it can commit the pre-emptive foul. If FAU takes the shot clock to 1 and hits the rim with a 3-pointer, you're looking at maybe four seconds left if you rebound it cleanly and immediately. Then you have to find an outlet man unless a guard rebounds. Lot of moving parts. If FAU hits the rim on the shot it did take, maybe they get the rebound or a held ball.

    .

FAU should have shot a 3 with 1 second on the shot clock. There would been 2 seconds left if San Diego got the rebound.

Legit laugh when Barkley asked whether he or Lilly is more annoying.

Whew! Had to take a little while to collect my thoughts.
It was a rough game. Aztecs had those stretches where they couldn't hit anything, and all the squandered opportunities in the last five minutes was frustrating, but a win's a win -- especially if it gets you to play on the last night of the season.
I thing I'll say is this is why it's good to have a great defensive team, it will seemingly always keep you in the game and give you that one last opportunity.
Beautiful shot at the end, though.

There’s somebody out there who is really going to miss Jim Nantz when he’s gone. I pray never to meet that person.
