I was thinking - maybe a morning show needs go the way GMA did when it started back in the day - hire someone people want to start their morning with - why GMA went with David Harstman is anyone's guess - but going away from the "news types" might be a good call for CNN. It's not like most of those on in the mornings are considered heirs of Murrow. Grab Tom Bergeron or some other game show host - Wayne Brady, somebody from QVC - have a news anchor to do that stuff. Shoot GMA later snagged Joan Lunden from KCRA in Sacramento where she did the weather or something.

 

Joan Linden’s real last name was Blunden. Too close to Blunder, an agent of producer told her. So she changed it.

 

Watched the last 90 seconds this morning and they gave Don some super duper happy pills.
