Endeavor Group Nears Deal to Acquire Vince McMahon’s WWE

 

Peter Rosenberg on the pre-show showed the behind the scenes. Came to elevator to go up a level, said anybody could come off. Casually greeted the people that came off -- didn't even realize that one of them was Stacy Keibler, the person they just inducted into the HOF.

 

Welp. And it looks like we’re not rid of Vince yet.

 

Is Miz this generation's Roddy Piper? A guy who, while quite capable in the ring, is much better known for the stuff he does promoting and setting up angles as an obnoxious heel?

 

I think that's a great comparison -- and then some, because Piper barely won any belts. Plus, I think to his own admission, Miz has long seen himself as a celebrity who wrestles, even going back to Real World and all the MTV spinoffs he hosted/participated in, then to all the movies he's done, and the reality show with Maryse.

Don't get me wrong, he's had a banner career in the ring, but I'm sure he loves getting to hobnob with the celebs that come in and make them look good.

 

It was good for what it was -- but give credit to Omos for his progression. He's much closer to classic Big Show/The Giant than he is Khali or Giant Gonzalez.

I mean, Omos had to have a certain amount of agility and mobility to be a D-I basketball player.

 

That Shotzi didn't get to drive that tank down the quarter-mile-long ramp is a crime.

 

That women’s match was a complete misfire.

 

Two fast matches either I’m gettin to bed on time (prayers for this) or Edge and Finn are going 60

 

This triple threat is not disappointing.

 

Incredible match. I’m exhausted just watching it.

 

You have physical matches. You have fast paced matches. You rarely see incredibly physical fast paced matches. Good lord, was that great stuff.
