Maybe. But Roman has had it nearly twice as long as Brock did back then. And he held
It forever. Seems like dropping it anywhere else cheapens the eventual end of the storyline some.

Or another thought: Maybe they eventually have Jey win. But even then, it’s going to take a while to turn him face.

I mean, how many ref bumps did we have this weekend? The NXT main, Cody/Roman, Cena/Theory, they flirted with them in both women's matches.

Just for the love of God, do something original.

I had the same reaction to Sami losing in Montreal.

Mystery of Cody's rubber chicken is solved. I don't know how far this guy was from the ring, but that is a hell of a throw to drop it on a dime like that.

I think the next part of the Bloodline story is brother vs brother, Roman pits Usos vs Solo “he did his job, why didnt you two?” type of deal, Im not sure if its Solo v Jey or if Jimmy takes a side, maybe Roman orders Solo + one to challenge KO/Sami, hell maybe Roman teams with Solo to do it himself

I just dont see what that does for the universal and world titles in the meantime

I an an AEW mark and don't watch much WWE but I did tune in beginning with the Miz/Shane/Snoop mess. I thought the Hell in a Cell lost a lot of momentum with the pause after Finn got busted open. I am all heel all the time but I really thought Cody would win when he hit the bionic elbow near the end. I thought that was terrific match without the ref bump and the interference.

I wonder if the WWE didn't want to have Roman dethroned by an AEW guy, and thus put over their rival company by extension.

I believe that Solo Sikoa will be the one to take the belt from Roman.

I still think they need to put the belts on Sami. Even for just a month. Kind of like when WCW woke everyone up by having Luger win the title from Hogan when the NWO first started getting repetitive.

I popped for that as a kid, but that one didn't even last a week.
