Is it not irresponsible to include her claims of Democratic pedophilia when they're rubbish?

    That's a Q talking point.

It's not "news" in any sense of the word.

That trope is being used to incite violence. See Comet Ping Pong in D.C.

Every news division has been in the ratings business since, oh, 1980. I get that. But should a news outlet be airing irresponsible claims from a lawmaker in Congress (just one of 535) who talks about Jewish space lasers and hangs around with Nazis?

Of course it's irresponsible. That's what I said.

I guess I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with.

    Damn liberal media.

“… all the things I’ve done have brought you wealth and prosperity.”

Somehow I don’t think either MSNBC or Fox News will be donating to the Drumpf legal defense fund.

If what she has to say is "rubbish" then there is nothing threatening about it, is there?

I listen to her, I think she is a moron, I weep for the fact that someone like that is an elected Congressperson. And that's about it.

I know you aren't thinking about this the same way that I am, but that kind of talk: "Giving her a forum is 'irresponsible.' " Or we need to keep her off the air because it is a "Q talking point." or because it isn't "news" is actually more dangerous to me than she is. It's the flip side of what Donald Trump does with his "fake news" BS to try to shout down facts and ideas he can't counter head on with reason. That kind of rationale gets easily stretched by people who think it's OK to suppress any idea or expression that they don't agree with.

She's a sitting high-profile Congressperson who says controversial things. To me, she's news by virtue of that. I actually want people to give her a forum, because nothing good is going to come from people being able to just shout her down. ... If anything it makes her a martyr. I'd rather her sound like an idiot. Most will get it on their own, and for the remaining unwashed masses, I want people to figure out how to demonstrate to them that she's an idiot. That is how you get real change of attitudes.

Any argument about shutting her down before she speaks because she will "incite violence," actually sounds like the kind of thing tinpot dictators use to control the press and the flow of information. You label something as dangerous. ... and then ban it.

If she's capable of inciting violence with her stupidity, the problem isn't her, it's with the people who are incited to violence by her. The only way you are going to effectively counter that is by taking them head on, fighting stupid ideas with rational ideas. Shut-her-down tactics are a formula for making it so that the problems she represents fester and gain strength without actually being challenged.

The problem wasn’t Hitler calling for the systematic elimination of “undesirables,” it was the stupidity of his followers for listening.
