The dual scenes of Trump going to and from the airports looked like OJ’s white Bronco chase to me
And it was just as creepy

Yep, the whispered, "Wow," followed by an eye roll and, "OK," was more performance art than journalism. She had a chance to really grill her there and opted for something she probably thought would go viral. I had no problem with the interview; MTG has made a name for herself, as a loudmouth, as a villain, as a hero to some. But she deserved to be questioned hard.

I understand what you're saying. And am hoping it's true.

I think wicked's point, though, is that what you're saying has not been true lately -- i.e. anything Trump-related, and COVID-19, for example -- and we're no longer confident that what you're arguing is true, or going to happen.

Trust in others and our culture and ideals has been shaken, truly, and, apparently, it is with good reason(s). The media, and social media, have not helped, of course, and they have even caused this erosion to some extent, and so, it seems the best, safest way to have people such as Trump (I'll also add DeSantis) and MTG not have or gain influence is to not give them any more chance/platform from which to do so.

It seems that a lot of people have shown they can't be trusted to see, and figure out, what side they should be on. People can't parse the influences and all the information, or, at least, we are losing confidence that they can do that. It has just become the state of things, and it has resulted in danger, disintegration of national unity, rampant distrust, and worse, disinterest and disenfranchisement that, frankly, I don't think is going to change anytime soon. Unfortunately, the idea that "people are stupid" is becoming more and more true.
