It's going to be survival this year.

    Singh, and then the rain

That was my headline years ago when Vijay posted a low early number and most of the first round was rained out.

What a glorious feeling it must have been to write that.

One that just came to me, out of the ether — or wherever the headline gods reside.

Major pout, complaining that he can't bring 3 of his grandchildren there to play a round without begging a member to host them, and said even then, there's always an excuse for why it can't happen.

Also put the Masters as No. 4 on his ranking of the majors.

Wonder how much of this is the aftermath of when his son pulled that stunt with the golf balls at the ceremonial tee shots a few years back and was banned from ANGC.

Damn, I enjoy the nice weather Masters better than the weather-disrupted versions (why I don't like to think of Zach as a green jacket holder).

I'm rooting for Rory, I just like rooting for history to be made and he seems like such a good guy (except for breaking up with that lovely Caroline by text).

But if its a weather one, my head says some newbie wins (maybe a Cam Young or a Hatton with a hot putter). JT has the draw in his bag (w/3 wood) but the putter has been cold.

I'll say one of two favs, Day or Xander.

I found it very interesting that NBC had Bones MacKay on the course for the Augusta Women's Amateur on Saturday. It's like he was double-dipping for pre-tourney scouting, paid by NBC and by JT.

That also translates to a nice little top-20 ticket. If you're into such things.

If one of the LIVers wins and the others prance around on 18 in gleeful celebration, will they be excomunicado from the Continental grounds?

Any bets on Phil not going to Champions Dinner?

I sort of hope one of the LIV guys wins if only to hear Nantz dance around it and then hours of Golf Channel announcers suffering breakdowns on air.
