I’d just root for Matsuyama to win every year if I were a retired former champ.

As I understand it, most champions dinners are a combination of items the host really likes and things he knows his fellow champions will like. That's why steak is so often featured. We are not dealing with a group of bec fins here. I wonder about the menu if the Masters ever has a vegan champion.

Golf Channel usually airs it. 11 a.m. EDT.

They're not airing it live, which is a crock. I don't need to hear Eamon Lynch and Rolfing anymore.

Edit: Ridley said this morning that Norman wasn't invited. Didn't want the bullshit -- OK, Ridley didn't put it that way, but he also noted that Norman's been to the Masters only twice in the last 10 years.

Ridley is a master (no pun intended) of deflection. Plenty of anticipation for his conference but he didn't offer much. The NCAA individual champ will get into the field, that's good. But it's clear that in terms of LIV guys in future Masters, he's content to align with the OWGR cartel to hopefully continue to watch those guys plummet in the rankings.
