    Less scolding. Jesus Fucking Christ.

Never mind. You're not worth it. You never were.

We keep circling back to the "Why is that fire alarm so alarming" part of the discussion.

I think that's an inapt metaphor, to be honest.

We can't evacuate the world the way we would a burning building.

But if you felt that way - that's it's really a burning building - you'd pinpoint globalism, and slow it to a crawl.

Alma, go to Google images and search Glacier National Park. Choose an old image, say 1950 or before, then a current one. If you look a little you'll probably find an entry comparing them.

Then search a satellite view of the North pole, 1960-70, then a current view.

We're going to dick around until the top floor of the house is on fire, then maybe think about calling the fire department. Maybe we should have cut back all the brush around the house before the wildfire started, huh?

Now think about the evidence of current storm strength, droughts, flooding, etc.

What does your brain tell you, climate science degree or not? We need to do something, but anything big enough to start to make a little difference is bitterly fought by interested corporations, their lobbyists, and Congressmen who don't want to lose their donations.

Funny his use of that word. He gave away the game too early.

If the building is burning - if the earth is on fire, and we’re 5 years away from the tipping point - surely you don’t think a green energy plan puts out the fire.

Maybe we shouldn't have spent 40 years telling ourselves the house wasn't burning.

    Maybe just grab a bucket.

    Will flying ever be green?
