The impunity with which he does this shit is what is most galling. ... In the past, when he got caught. ... he played off checking the "no spousal income" box on his financial disclosure form as a misunderstanding of the filing instructions. When he revised the forms, his wife had been collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars a year from politically-oriented groups. On that alone, it's impossible to claim ignorance anymore. He should be disclosing every stick of gum anyone ever gives him and having 10 other people go over everything to make sure he's coming clean on every little thing that could possibly be construed as a gift or payment.

Let's say none of that was in his past. Like he actually thought he's doing nothing wrong, like, "Just hanging with my dear friends; nothing to see here." He'd still have to disclose what are VERY expensive gifts from his friends. ... anyone who chooses the job and life he chose has to do that. It comes with the territory.

At this point, even if you want to believe that this is just a dear old friend and people are making wrong conclusions. ... after his past financial disclosure problems (which were a "misunderstanding"), if he does it all over again, it demonstrates that he is a dumb fuck. And if he's too dumb to understand what he needs to legally disclose, despite his ignorance in the past having led to problems. ... he should be impeached as too dumb (and unfit) to be deliberating over complex legal issues.

No matter how you slice it, he's unfit -- he's either corrupt or he's a blithering idiot.
