They're playing 1st and 10th tees in the third round? That's smart, not knowing what the conditions are going to be, and that might get everyone in by dark.

I know Augusta National has an amazing drainage system but dang, the weather is terrible and only going to get worse all day. At least the wind's not howling. A literal slog out there.

An anonymous superintendent volunteer on crew this week said it can handle 4” ! of rain in 24 hrs. They’ll finish tomorrow.

I guess Tiger extended his streak of making the cut at The Masters, but he looks in absolute agony out there.

I won’t be shocked if he goes wings up tonight.

The tree falling reminded me of this story from 2012. A storm dumped a tree on top of a bathroom at Augusta on Wednesday. It was completely rebuilt by Thursday.

    Quick fix for damaged bathrooms

Looks like Augusta, except the players are dressed like they're at The Open.

Sometimes. A couple of massive limbs have fallen and didn't make much sound. OTOH, at o400 one morning - I know because I was working - I heard the loud crack then the slap as a major part of a tree gave way in my backyard. Had to get a saw out to further cut the limb in two, then had to push three different pieces end-over-end to the curb because they were kinda heavy.

Anyway, back to Augusta ... thank goodness no one was injured.

One of the greencoats' dreams is to have an exit off I-20 straight to the course. If they hired the road crew it would be done in a week.

Yeah, but the gallery at St. Andrews and the, um, patrons at Augusta are different folks. And unless they come from my corner of the world, not too many at St. Andrews say "y'all."

My attempt at comedy aside, we are at least two or more weeks from teeing it up here thanks to a hellish winter so these folks can take their pimento cheese and shove it where the sun don't shine.

... as long as you leave the good egg salad alone. You can have the pimento cheese.
