So glad to welcome the Mother of Dragons to the MCU. Does this series mark the end of Nick Fury?

I could see it, especially if they resolve the story as they did in the comics. Having him out of the way would make it easier for what comes next to happen. Also, how long does Jackson want to keep going with the role? He is 74 years old.

I think it is more likely that Talos or Maria Hill will die. With such a dark tone, I can't imagine every key player makes it through alive.

They are certainly setting this up to have sad endings for at least some of the Guardians, and I don't doubt that Gunn would go that route. Hell, I could see him taking them all out if it wasn't the MCU's toy box.

It's been pretty obvious from the beginning that this is the last ride for the original group and they are about to get new actors involved. If I'm guessing, based on their careers, Pratt, Cooper and Bautista are out. You can keep Groot because you already have everything he has on tape. Soldana might be the wild card -- she doesn't need to stay either but I could see the next movie possibly being her vs. ??? to lead the new team

They stay in because it takes all hands on deck to take out Kang(s) if they follow the comic that I read.

Now, they are not getting their own film again.

Bautista has made it very clear that this is going to be his last appearance as Drax. I'm not sure about the others. I'm sure at least some of them are done. It would make sense in the context of the story for this to be the end of Rocket. Remember, he made reference to a very short lifespan in the first movie. Also, it looks like we're getting his backstory and I'm assuming the villain is responsible for making him what he is, so this is likely a resolution to his story.

Cooper and maybe Pratt seem like the only ones that would be "hard" gets for future appearances. (Cooper, for artistic reasons, Pratt, because he'll likely want a ton of cash to do anything and its unclear if he's worth that.) Like Bautista said that, but he was also pretty much the co-lead of a holiday special with Pom. It wouldn't surprise me if he does other things for a couple years, but then we see him come back, either because he wants the check or he's not as sick of the character then.

One thing Bautista has brought up is his age. He has to be ripped for that role, which is getting more difficult with time.

Of course, Hugh Jackman said the same thing about Wolverine and he's coming back to the role at least once more.

I think a couple of them have also said they want to work with Gunn in his new DC movies. I know Bautista said he pitched playing Bane but felt he was too old for where Gunn wants to take things. I think I saw somewhere that Chris Pratt was open to it as well.

Gunn's two DC projects have been pretty damned good. Not just pretty damned good for DC.

The fan casting I’ve seen is Pratt as Booster Gold, which actually seems like a good fit.

They’re calling it The Marvels, but should they call it …

    The Flerkens?
