Yeah the reviews I’m seeing are not kind to Blondie.

Really sad I missed Orville Peck last Friday when he was in town. Can't stop listening to his first two records. South African country crooner by the way of Canada who has never shown his face in public, performs in a mask. Incredible voice.

My wife and a couple of her friends were big Leonard Cohen fans, so we attended one of his shows when, IIRC, he was over 80. He did pretty well -- I don't think it was his last tour -- but the audience had serious mobility issues.

Morgan Wallen canceled a concert at Ole Miss on Sunday night, saying he lost his voice. Unfortunately, the announcement was made after the opening acts had gone on and minutes before he was supposed to come on stage, so people are pissed and the rumor mill is flying. Lots of speculation that he got shit-faced the night before in Oxford (Sunday's show was the second of a two-night doubleheader at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium; the Saturday show went off without a hitch) and was running around doing everything short of snorting blow off of hooker's asses in The Square.
Lots of people mad that they spent hundreds of dollars not just on tickets, but food, hotels, etc. More than a few were bitching about the $18 beers at the stadium, although that might have been an Ole Miss thing more than a Morgan Wallen thing.
One fan filed a lawsuit, but quickly rescinded it.

If you're paying $400 to see Morgan Wallen, you deserve to lose your money.

A friend of mine has bitched about something similar after her and her husband were at an outdoor show here in Toronto a few years back that was cancelled at the last minute due to thunderstorms that blew in off Lake Ontario. They got their money back for the tickets but obviously nothing for the money they spent at the venue like parking, shirts, drinks and food. I told her the ticket is a contract between you and the artist, all that other shit is on you.

And drink prices at Toronto sports and concert venues are larcenously priced but $220 for drinks at the show?

My favorite is blaming him for her coming to town and blowing over $600 at Rebel Rags, which is an Ole Miss T-shirt/souvenir shop.

I would need at least that for my own consumption to prepare for a Morgan Wallen set.

Agreed. Huggy Jr went to see Luke Combs at Ford Field on Saturday. He went with some buddies and they had all the ancillary expenses that come with traveling several hours to a big show. Combs isn't my thing but he said it was worth every dime.
