Pirates are so good this year they can afford to send a .333 hitter to the minors.

Cashman can't fire Boone because then there will be no one to absorb the criticism for the awful team he has put together. It's Miller time in Oakland, where Seattle's Bryce Miller is facing Oakland's Mason Miller.

Bryce retired the first 16 A's in order before losing the potential perfect game on a Tony Kemp single and the shutout on a Esteury Diaz double.

However, Mason still has a no-hitter going as the game heads to the top of the seventh. He's walked four and thrown 87 pitches.
