Even by hybrid bat standards, that was loud.

This is fake, but pretty freaking funny.
In the 3/1 game, Louisiana Tech took the lead on Ole Miss in the top of the seventh and then the game was halted and eventually called because of a lightning delay. The score reverted back to the end of the previous inning, when Ole Miss was ahead, and Ole Miss claimed the win. Tech was rather pissed about it.
In the 3/28 game, Southern Miss was leading Ole Miss in the fourth inning when the game was called and ruled a no contest because the sod was coming apart and it was too dangerous to play on.

This happened in February, but just saw it now when somebody posted it on Facebook. Kind of awesome.

Five of the top 6 teams in the rankings are SEC teams.

NOT AMONG those five teams are:
    Last year's NCAA champion
    Last year's SEC champion
    2021's NCAA champion

Someone on my Twitter timeline referred to it as the "Confederate Baseball Conference."

How much do you think he bet? The handle on those games have to be tiny. And did he bet on his team to win or lose?

Says the bets were on LSU to win. The starting pitcher was scratched only an hour before game time, advance knowledge that Bohannon would obviously have.

The game got flagged because somebody made a big bet on LSU at the in-house casino for the Cincinnati Reds. Alabama scratched its starter an hour before the game, and apparently this bet came before that was publicly announced.

That said, Bama is scuffling around the lower middle of the league and LSU is No. 1 in America. And Bama actually looked respectable in an 8-6 loss. So who knows?

Bohannon had been under contract through June 30, 2025, after signing a two-year extension in 2021. The new deal paid him $475,000 for the 2022 season, with $25,000 raises the following three years.
