They'll never kill Victor, Bo and Hope, or Roman and Marlena. Never!

I'm guessing most of the season finales are in the can since, as sj.com'ers who work in local news know, it's sweeps, so it's next season we're looking at for delays. Of course, anything live like the late night shows and SNL are on hiatus.

EDIT: Thinking over-the-air nets, of course. Streaming nets know no seasons.

WGA is in a tricky position. For all intents and purposes they are buggy whip makers who are striking in hopes of stopping those loud, belching, dangerous and destructive automobiles from taking over our streets. But by striking they might just be hastening their demise if the studios can get enough "prompt engineers" organized to replace them.

The idea that studios should be forced to have x-number of writers per y-number of hours of video is absurd IMO.

    And it's Victor Newman!!!!!

I'm so old, I remember when the actors portraying Victor Newman and Jack Abbott got into a brawl backstage and the producer (Edward Bell?) said if the ratings dropped even a fraction b/c of the resulting publicity, he'd fire them both. Now, two leads brawling might earn themselves lifetime contracts just for the infinitesimal publicity and ratings boost it might provide.
