I was talking about the other 303 kids working at McDonald's.

We were talking about the story about 10 year olds. ...

Also, what you are referencing was a different franchisee. That one sounds like someone who owns 60 McDs, and they found teenage employees who were working more than the legally permitted number of hours, and some who were operating deep fryers without being legally old enough.

Never mind the work ethic bit ... sometimes the scariest five words that can be uttered are "Mommy's got a new boyfriend."

One of the 10-year-olds was operating the deep fryer.

    It's in the report.

Three McDonald’s franchisees in Kentucky pay $212K in fines after federal investigations find 305 minors — including 10-year-olds — working illegally

    • Bauer Food LLC, a Louisville-based operator of 10 McDonald’s locations, employed 24 minors under age 16 to work more than legally permitted hours. These children sometimes worked more hours a day or week than the law permits, whether or not school is in session. Investigators also determined two 10-year-old children were employed – but not paid – and sometimes worked as late as 2 a.m. Below the minimum age for employment, they prepared and distributed food orders, cleaned the store, worked at the drive-thru window and operated a register. The division also learned that one of the two children was allowed to operate a deep fryer, a prohibited task for workers under 16 years old. The division assessed $39,711 in civil money penalties to address the child labor violations.

Jesus Christ. Ruth's Chris is really worth THAT much? I mean, I get they're worth whatever someone's willing to pay, but lord.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times for Billy the Blue Marlin.

It was the best of times because of the free worm that Billy the Blue Marlin saw through the murk of the Gulf. The free worm that squiggled around. The free worm that offered promise to Billy the Blue Marlin’s semi-empty belly.

It was the worst of times as Billy the Blue Marlin tasted the meat of that worm … and the metal of a strange object that hurt, hurt so bad in Billy the Blue Marlin’s mouth.

The worm went to Billy the Blue Marlin’s belly, but he didn’t care at that moment, for all he knew was pain. And it was pain that he couldn’t escape from, as the pain was dragging him all over the murky world that he knew. And tonight, of all nights, the pain was making history.

145 words by myself. Yep, here comes SkyNet.

Guess that explains why they’ve been ripping the indoor playgrounds out when remodeling.

What, they have no Christian churches in their neighborhoods who can provide overnight child care while their parents work to put food on their table and roofs over their heads?
