I mean, I disagree with him on a bunch of shit, but yeah he is pretty damn smart. And he has more than an online handle to back it up.

Lots of people on here a pretty damn smart. Very few feel a constant need to wave their dicks about it while belittling others. I imagine Quant endured a lot of ass-kickings growing up and he thinks he’s getting even now. That or he’s just a mega-pompous ass.

Or I just like to make a wisecrack or two every now and then. But if you can't see the numerical humor in, e.g., those TRILLIONS in $100 bills Trump has stashed away, I got nothing for ya.

Everybody here could use a megadose of "I don't knows" in their posts instead of the usual absolute black-and-white certainties.

To my knowledge DQ has never told anyone to fuck off on this board. That places him in a better spot than about three dozen others on the "belittling others" spectrum.

Or he just belittles with a little more panache. :)

I got a panache too but the doctor says I need to lose 15 pounds.

And that sums it up. Save the part of the planet convenient for ME ME ME ME ME.

Fuck those who've been dealing with harsh conditions for centuries and may be getting a bit of a break.

The U.S. has been living pretty much in a climate sweet spot since its formation. So of course no one here wants it changed. But there's no planetary law that says no one else can have the bestest climate for a few centuries.

Nobody’s getting to carbon neutral by 2050 unless we redefine what “carbon neutral” means - which, to declare success, I could see world leaders doing.

But the overhaul will happen. At least in America. Climate change activists have leveraged the harm principle in impressive ways.

    The harm principle …

    Windmills cause cancer.

Ok, they're ugly as fuck, but they don't cause cancer.

I'll take a few windmills blocking my view if it's a worthy enterprise (I don't see why it's not).
