Speaking on behalf of the whites, we will worry about the speck in their eye when we have removed the log from our eye.

 

This is not a "Christian" thing. It's a thing offered by people who don't know what else to offer, given, how, you know, people apparently just gotta have their guns and we apparently cannot come together -- at all -- on what is becoming the most important cause/issue that this country faces.

And any people who are actually trying to live their Christian faith are asking, "Why are we even facing it?"

There should be no politically-charged debate about this at this point, and Republicans should be nothing but ashamed of themselves.

 

Saying prayers to avoid doing anything to solve a repeatable problem is just kicking the can down the road until the narrative moves to the next issue. If that blows my skirt up as a win.

Thoughts and prayers... how much is given to "thoughts", how much to "prayers"? What are they praying for? Lets all, at one time, pray for the same thing. What would the world pick?

 

Thoughts and prayers started as politican-speak (because if you are truly all in on prayer being the highest and best solution, you aren’t going to be keen on elevating secular “thoughts” to equal billing.) But if you pay attention to news clips now, you see a lot of them twisting themselves in knots to overcome muscle memory and rephrase it because that specific word combo has become a notorious cop out.

 

And how much $ for another check to the Federalist Society?
