I’ve seen one, and that’s because my then-teenage daughter wanted me to see it with her.

That was enough. I’m done with them.

I saw the 2002 Spiderman and was bored. Haven't watch one since.

It would be great and all, but getting someone the kind of help they need isn't like it's portrayed in movies and on teevee.

Absolutely. But imagine if those protesting instead, you know fanned out and checked up on people on the street, needing food and housing or mental health.

Thin Mints are vastly overrated. Fourth-best Girl Scout cookie, being generous.

On comic book movies, I didn’t get it either.

Then my teenage daughter told me when I asked why she loves them.

“I don’t have a lot of heroes in my life. In these movies, there is good and evil. Character matters in these.”

She has lived a life very disheartening, at times. Her friends moved off her as they were into alcohol and pot and sex — which she’s not into. Her mom’s alcohol abuse destroyed all of our lives and took hers early.

These movies and characters gave her hope. I suppose the same way Roy McAvoy or Billy Chapel did at various points of my early career. Heck, even Jerry Maguire.

So… I get it. Even if it’s not my thing.

Have had them frozen. Still prefer others. Not saying they’re bad…

I am an Isbell fan, but “If We Were Vampires” is a lame song and a dumb premise. He was trying too hard for another Cover Me Up.
