The Astros just missed turning a game-ending triple play yesterday at Anaheim. Angels trailed, 5-2, but got two runs on a single by Trout and a homer by Ohtani. Rendon got an infield single and Renfroe singled to center. Still no outs and it's 5-4. Drury hit a bouncer to third, Bregman caught it next to the base, stepped on third, fired to second and the throw to first completed the triple play. But the third base ump ruled the ball foul. Drury, Thaiss and Urshela were quick, easy outs to end the game.

Sometimes it’s the player, not the team. Rasmussen had two TJ surgeries in college at Microville Tech. Rays drafted him after his junior season, but there were issues in his post-draft physical which led to the second TJ.
