Someone has to explain this to me like I was 6 ...
Ja Morant is in deep shit because he's flashed a gun in videos or social media posts a time or two, and broken no laws that I can see.
But this shit can happen in a Starbucks ... what am I missing?

Ja won't be in trouble from the state or by law.

But the NBA or his team might think it's conduct detrimental to them. Maybe there's contract language.

He won't be charged or go to jail. Doesn't mean his employer can't fire or suspend him. At least that's how I see it. I may be wrong.

I keep looking at that sling job and I can’t figure out how Meal Team 6 is going to quickly deploy that rifle if shit goes down. Maybe he’s a lefty and is going to pull the muzzle up with his left hand before putting the butt in his shoulder?

Am I the only one who instantly gets up and leaves if someone is openly carrying? It’s the Deep South so assume half the folks are packing anyway, but the ones who feel a need to advertise strike me as one or more bubbles off plumb.

I'd give anything to see if the front of his shirt read "Smallest Penis Ever"

Staying at home was an option long before the pandemic. Understand that feeling, sir. They can leave those on the rack in the back of the pickup cab.

And to answer Hondo's post, they're just telling the baristas to hurry up with their expressos.

I think that's it plus guns are dangerous. I'm sure NBA contracts have standard clauses forbidding risky activities like skiing in season, surfing the North Shore, etc. Gunplay would seem to fall into that category.

The one who's openly carrying is always the one who gets shot first.

This is exactly why I don’t open carry. You’re painting a target on your back.

No, you are not. What do these people really think they're saying/doing?

You cannot tell me that that guy -- in his wrinkled T-shirt, ball cap, cargo shorts, tennis shoes and rifle -- feels scared and/or threatened and has to openly open-carry because of that, "for protection."

Were I that barista, I'd be invoking my right to not serve that customer because it's me who feels threatened.

I openly mock them and dare them to do something.
