The teams stayed in San Jose and media night was down there for SB 50.

And the drives from the hotels back and forth were brutal.

They had a few fan activities, such as The NFL Experience, in San Francisco.

Levi's also a World Cup venue.

Logistical stuff to overcome. Namely, the media was housed in San Francisco and had to make that commute down south.

Kawakami claims more San Francisco-centric stuff.

L.A. pushing for the February 2027 Super Bowl, to have it between the World Cup in 2026 and the Olympics in 2028.

In one of John Madden's books, he discusses that he sat in on a clinic Vince Lombardi was given on the sweep. And that he talked about it for eight hours.

From the way Madden described it, Lombardi could have written a book on that play, never mind a mere football guide.

A little leg whip at the end of that block by the right tackle. The good ol' days!

Bobb McKittrick and Alex Gibbs fail to see the issue you dare bring up.

I was dialing them in with the second sentence.

Seems like doing something funky with the formation and adding some motion makes more sense on a sweep in today's game than using pulling guards.

Running plays worked long ago because coaches were ultra conservative and they only had 7 β€œin the box β€œ with two safeties 10-15 yds off the line. Think of the great wishbone offense, it killed because it was 11 on 9.
