O's have exploded for five (so far) in the 11th; they're about to sweep Toronto. Quite the feel-good win if they close it out, with both the closer and the set-up guy being unavailable today.

Cedric Mullins just got his fifth hit of the day. O's had four starters combine for 0-for-18 ... and still have 13 hits.

The Orioles are very good. They have grinders at every position.

Cardinals got five RBI from Oscar Mercado and beat the Dodgers — and Kershaw — 10-5. Took three of four from L.A.

Thing is, it's hard to imagine a better situation for Baltimore than having B-level players -- Frazier, McKenna, Vavra -- playing for their baseball lives because they know the talent pushing up from below.

Yep, that's what talent infusion does, makes everyone better. I like how this club plays defense.

I came across Mad Max getting interviewed by none other than David Cone just now while channel-surfing. No idea if Cone brought up how rosin makes the ball stick to your fingers.

Glen Kuiper, the paid observer of the Oakland Athletics (supposedly) MLB team has been fired.

The N word just rolled off his tongue too easily for it to be an inadvertent slip or mistaken enunciation.
