Good catch. Although the opening montage was kinda encapsulating the whole era, and nothing says mid-1980s more than Money for Nothing. Besides, that opening guitar solo is freaking awesome.

True Stories, the David Byrne/Talking Heads movie. Plenty of great songs (the country and western "People Like Us" sung by main actor John Goodman....and the gospel song "Puzzlin' Evidence") and a fun, satirical approach reminiscent of later works by Christopher Guest and David Lynch.

On my list. Right now, I'm getting through James May's "Our Man In Italy."

I'm a fan of KevOnStage, but that query feels pointless. I liked the answer he got, though.

That was just one of the answers. They kept popping up in my Twitter feed, and seeing ridiculous out of context Fast and Furious clips, along with the replies, was cracking me up. It was kind of like the old Walker, Texas Ranger lever that Conan O'Brien would bust out from time to time.

"San Andreas" last night (slow night). It used to be cool when I recognized places in movies and TV shows. Now, I'm not so sure I like it when familiar places are being destroyed. On a side note, I will watch any show that Alexandra Daddario is in. In addition to being gorgeous, she always seems to play a very nice, capable person who is likable.

She's a dream....plus the movie had Paul Giamatti!

I bet he liked crawling under the table and snuggling up to the TV reporter -- Archie Punjabi.

I didn't know who she was until seeing her last night, and looking her up today. I'm glad Paul didn't pull out his creepy leather and chains ("Billions" reference).

She had a memorable guest spot on Brooklyn Nine Nine.

We watched Air last night. Fun and well acted, and the type of movie that came out all the time in the pre-streaming era. Pleasant enough way to spend a Saturday night and a perfectly acceptable history is told by the winners story.
