Tonight's announced attendance vs. Diamondbacks: 2,064. Smallest non-Covid attendance since 1979. Across the Bay, Giants drew 23,819 vs. Phillies.

Be it Philadelphia, Kansas City or Oakland, the A's legacy of generally horseshit ownership continues. Which is why the franchise will be moving to its fourth city in less than 70 years.

Is my math correct? Are the A’s really on pace to win 31 games this year?

    Forty-nine, per Baseball Reference projection.

The corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas Blvd. seems like prime real estate.
How did they pull this off?

So you're going to have the batters looking to the northwest, you know, where the sun sets in the summer?

Is this Sam Lynn Ball Park in Bakersfield. Which is where the California League team had 8:30 p.m. and later start times because the sun was right in the batters' eyes?

I realize I’m not breaking any ground here, but the comments on that article are dumb enough to make you lose all hope.

I believe Bally was looking to bulldoze the Tropicana anyway. This deal allows them to put a different resort property around the ballpark.

By raw winning percentage, which for them is .192, times 162 games equals 31 wins. Uff-da.
