The thing is though, why cave in to the numbskulls?
Why should anyone respect their views?
They’re bigots. They deserve to have someone spit in their faces.

It's obvious you lean conservative, a word that means nothing anymore. As hollow a word as 'basically'.

The rest is a fair assessment, although pouting over numerical disadvantages (and future demographic realities) are not policies. Nor is saying no to everything. But you knew this.

A new big-umbrella party needed to be formed simply called the Anti-Republicans. We've already had the Anti-Federalists anyway.

You're absolutely right in theory, but can Target as an employer morally and, probably for the sake of this discussion, legally absorb the risk if those bigots are violent or packing (which seems slightly likely). I doubt, as the huge retail conglomerate as they are, they're worried about a loss of sales, but if one of their associates gets hurt or, worse, killed by one of these bastards, how much if any of that is on them?

None. They are victims of extortion, being told to act against their own interest under threat. Of course, if some store manager was to blow away one of these terrorists with a 12-gauge, there'd be less of this shit.

There’s a lot of areas where I do not lean conservative. Universal health care. Strict gun limitations. Higher taxes for upper brackets. Better protections for unions (Biden’s done OK there). A system that works for new moms/parents.

Those just aren’t things that the GOP cares about. Democrats kind of do, but not really; the party has turned corporate.

The next thing we need to approve via initiated measure is amending the Oregon Constitution to make a quorum half plus 1. Should have done it that way last time.

Oregon was founded on the belief that the less government the better, it was only 20 years ago that the legislature began meeting every year. The salaries of executive statewide officers are at the bottom of the list and state legislators are considered "part-time" gigs. Most senior state workers make more than their bosses. While I understand the motivations - having unelected state workers do 90 percent of the decision-making in the state has been problematic.

The corporate Democratic Party has so hoodwinked its adherents that they believe Dianne Feinstein to be a progressive liberal.

Then there's the whole issue of a political party existing not to win key races, but rather to muck up the entire thing. The GOP is more successful at the latter, and likely knows this.
