Eh, what was that about more crashes in the pits than the track?

Knew I should have rented that condo at the Lake of Fail for the weekend. But this is really the only race I watch anymore since I'm out of the business, mostly for sentimental reasons. This holiday with the grandparents always meant Sid Collins urging us to "Stay tuned for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing."

They have a running top 5 of the race live on the front page. Not sure what you want from them.

Nothing on my page, nothing in top headlines - a lot of softball though.

It's an interesting call. In 2013 Tony Kanaan won under yellow and I don't think I've ever seen a more jubuliant crowd, but that's in part because it was TK and of course the series is under new ownership.

But also with three cars to clean up, I can see it as the right call despite how little of the race is left.

    We're almost looking at a yellow-green-checkered here.

So, if Ferrucci wins do we get any slight acknowledgment of his history in Europe?

That's clearly a Nascar-esque red flag. They should've finished under caution, and I would love to see either Ferucci or Newgarden win. I am ambivalent on Ericcson getting another, but he was leading at the yellow.

    You were saying?

Good for Newgarden. While I understand trying to break the draft, the fastest point from Point A to B is still a straight line. Ericsson didn't remember that when trying to break the draft in the backstretch.

And Newgarden has also superseded Helio. Forget climbing the fence ... let's slip under it and mosh with the fans in the stands. That's one way to ... milk the moment.

One viral video with no injuries and a winner from Tennessee, that's a good day for IndyCar.

Flabbergasted we got through the last restart without a wreck.
