Tulane had its chances but outside of Skenes, LSU not impressive. Easiest path to Omaha though.

Why were they throwing their ace against a 40-loss team?

The earlier you pitch him, the earlier you get him back. Should be on full rest for the Super, if LSU gets that far.

I have stopped trying to figure out these things out. Seems like every coach has his own way of doing things. Wake Forest, the no. 1 national seed, is going with its fourth starter today.

Keep him on his regular routine if you think you're going to get through to the super regional. And, you don't want to fuck around and find out. It's so important to stay in the winners' bracket that there's value in just dropping the hammer, winning the first game and going from there.

There would have been a meltdown in BR losing to Tulane. With their pitching woes Johnson knows they can hit their way to the SR, which Skenes will start on his regular schedule.

Auburn is your first national seed to drop a game. They lost 6-3 in 11 innings against Penn.
Elimination game tomorrow afternoon between Auburn and Southern Miss. One pretty good team is going two-and-barbecue, and the survivor probably has a decent chance at coming out of this regional.

Coastal Carolina is also on upset alert. Losing 11-9 to Rider in the 10th inning.

Might have to do a lot of hitting. Oregon State 18, Sam Houston 2 in the 2-3 game.

Auburn the first national seed to go 2-and-que. Oklahoma State will be right behind them if their pitching staff can stitch together enough outs to get through an 18-3 abortion versus Dallas Baptist.
