Wouldn't you then get $0 for solving, or have the rules changed in the 30 years since I've watched?

Well if it was a prize puzzle, it would make sense.

But you can look this up on YouTube. Wasn't a prize puzzle and it went the distance of a typical game.

Also, minimum winnings for any round is $1000.

I could see a situation or two where you are protecting a lead and wanting to pad you lead a little while also avoiding a bankrupt (you might have a wild card and/or million dollar wedge that you are protecting).

I want to see a puzzle without "E" or "THE" in it.

I root for a bankrupt every time a contestant buys more than zero vowels. The people on that show are so risk averse it drives me nuts. You're on there one time in your life, so go play to win not to not lose. Spin the fucking wheel.

The contestants who empty their winnings by buying all the vowels just to solve are the ones who have to play Wheel because they'll never get a crack at Jeopardy.

That reminds me of a Michael Jackson joke:

When is bedtime at the Neverland Ranch?

When the big hand touches the little hand.
