They only show up when the team is in the Stanley Cup Final, so no love lost.

Random shit I should know but don't: Do staffers on NHL teams get playoff bonuses? MLB teams all get postseason shares that increase the deeper a team gets. It's couch change to the players but can be life-changing for the staffers.

One of the analysts -- I think it was Olczyk -- said Stone had the biggest knob in the league. hahahaha. Oh, that meant it was easier for the equipment guy to find a new stick in the lineup of replacements.

Calder Cup Final starts tonight -- Hershey vs. Coachella Valley. Baby Caps vs. Baby Kraken. Shoutout NBCS Washington for broadcasting the games.

Coachella Valley is in its first season playing in a new arena near Palm Springs. I've heard great reviews on the building, except that parking sucks.

Wow, that's wild. Did not realize they were an expansion team. Would be crazy if the Baby Caps won their version of the Stanley Cup against a new franchise, just as the big boys did five years ago.

You don't often see a lot of open animosity at this stage of the playoffs because there's just too much at stake to be stupid. The Panthers and Golden Knights really don't seem to like each other all that much. There's been a lot of chippiness in this series. A couple of fights, even.
