Would make sense since KC is basically as far west as Houston is.

Nevada legislators met long into the night in a special session Wednesday to take up the stadium bill. They'll resume the session late Thursday morning. From what I'm seeing on teh Twitterez, it could go either way.

It's got to be a fait accompli, so completely, embarrassingly unprepared were the dunderheads who spoke on behalf of the A's.

They could just go and squat at that abandoned baseball site in Sacramento next to old Arco.

There are 2.2 million people in Sacramento, the weather is decent, much of the A's East Bay fanbase would still be less than 100 miles away, and there is no entertainment competition in the summer. It has a decent AAA stadium that would work as a temporary location; not sure if it can be double-decked to seat 30K or so.

I've always been surprised the A's never considered moving there.

This might shock the shit out of you - it shocked the shit out of me - the Sacramento market is #20 nationally - Vegas? #40.
