    From the AP story ...n

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote that the decision forces “Alabama to intentionally redraw its longstanding congressional districts so that black voters can control a number of seats roughly proportional to the black share of the State’s population. Section 2 demands no such thing, and, if it did, the Constitution would not permit it.”

Yes, Uncle Clarence, we can't have equal representation... WTF

Clarence wrote a 48-page dissent. Tough to use less paper when you're writing in crayon.

Thomas, Roberts and Gorsuch have absolutely no ethics when it comes to financial dealings and have clear conflicts of interest with potential plaintiffs or defendants.

Roberts is worried about his legacy. His court already made two of the worst decisions in US legal history, with Citizens United and gutting the voting rights act (Holder? Or Shelby, can't remember). I think he's been pivoting in a late attempt to burnish a shitty reputation among many of his peers.

Kavanaugh is smart; I think he was No. 1 at Yale Law School. Fortunately, he wants to be liked and has made some surprising decisions.

Kagan and Sotomayor are classic liberals. I think their ethics are solid.

Jackson might be the smartest one of them all. Biden made a great call. She's young, liberal, doesn't take shit from white, conservative America and she isn't going anywhere for 40-50 years.

Alito and Thomas are buggy whips in a high-tech world with their adherence to Scalia's "originalist" thinking, which was complete bullshit to begin with.

Coney Barrett is simply a quid pro quo political appointment, like an ambassador to Denmark or Uruguay, rewarded for giving a lot of money to the campaign.

Unless a couple of the cons die in the next year, we're stuck with a Supreme Court living in a 1950s world in 2023.

Sort of simplistic, but also pretty accurate, I think.

The Roberts Court will live in infamy.
I'll die eventually, and within a decade or two, no one will remember me one way or another.
John Roberts' name echo through eternity as long as the United States continues to exist.
    Own it, motherfucker.
