Can't believe none of the GOP candidates have responded to the "pardon question" by saying, "Well, a pardon is an admission and acknowledgement of guilt, and I don't see Trump doing so at any point - so no."
And the idea that Biden is "going after" Trump is a joke, his reelection almost depends on Trump being the GOP nominee.

I'm not so sure about that. Biden strengthens his weakening base if he takes a hard line on Trump.

Totally agree. I think about 70% of the people in this country are sick and tired as hell of Donald Trump, his bullshit and his mouth-breathing supporters. I seriously think he could lose by 10 million votes if he ran again.

An American shooting civil war seems unlikely given the impossibility of identifying the combatants on each side.

More likely we’d see the far right morph into a terrorist organization carrying out attacks on government targets.

Because all sides live amongst each other, I don’t even see an Irish or Israeli-Palestinian situation possible.

Maybe if current trends in stratification and self-selection continue. But we’re still far from entire towns being completely one side of the spectrum or the other. Maybe in another decade or so.

I read this as "Trump is so fucking tacky" ... wait...I think I read it right.

Does Trump have any sort of a security clearance and does he still get any sort of security briefings?

But the righty narrative that Biden is hoping to weaken Trump because he fears him politically is false. If anything - Trump NEEDED the confrontation for his campaign. The "I must be God's Gift to Republicanism because "they" are coming after me!" campaign.

Dan, I think your scenario is at best a wash against what I -- and micro guy -- presented. I could be wrong.
