It's a pretty paper thin "earned," however. In the case of TCU and Southern Miss, one was forfeited to them and one was just given.

As far as the seeds, it's just unscientific rankings. Everyone who made it to a Super Regional earned it the same way. If you actually have head-to-head or common opponents --- such as Florida-South Carolina and LSU-Kentucky --- then cool. But usually you don't.

And here's the kicker: What if tonight's games can't be played/finished because of weather?
