    This was a fun goal to watch the replay of. Lots of goals get deflected or redirected, but I'm guessing not many get banked in off of two opponents in the open ice.

    That was Montour, who did a cannonball into the scrum. Maybe he figured that after all was sorted out, if the puck somehow got into the net, it might count.

    Seeing reports that Peter Laviolette has been hired by the Rangers.

    I'm not thrilled, but there were no really good choices after they let Gallant go. I don't think it was thought through that well.

    I hope I am wrong. ... but in two years, Laviolette AND Drury will be gone. ... and like the cockroaches in New York, Glen Sather will still be thriving, going on his 25th year side by side with James Dolan. He's become the Isaiah Thomas of hockey.

    Interesting - the new owner is Philip Andlauer, who bought the OHL Belleville Bulls and moved them to Hamilton. Now he buys the Sens, whose AHL team is in Belleville.

    EDIT: sorry, Michael Andlauer. I denounce myself.

    Did I read the Sens let go Troy Mann as head coach at Belleville this season ... or maybe it was last year? Knew Mann a little bit back in the day.
