Bobby Richardson it is, in 1960. The only 2B, and the only player from a losing team, to be named the Series MVP.

And the second most remembered 2B from that Series.

Here's a good one I saw the other day: What is the lowest number of official at-bats for a MLB team in a regulation 9-inning game?

I'm gonna guess 26 in that Ernie Shore "perfect game" back in the 1910s (I don't remember the year). Red Sox starter Babe Ruth walked the first batter on four pitches, then got ejected from the game for arguing -- in fact, my recollection is he actually threw a punch at the umpire. The runner was thrown out trying to steal and Shore retired the next 26 batters in order.

Oh, wait, I forgot that the home team doesn't have to bat in the ninth if it's ahead, so my answer is probably wrong.

Honorable mention: Ben Zobrist played more games (119) at second than any other position during the 2016 regular season, but played in left field for all seven games of the World Series on his way to winning MVP honors.

    Yes, your answer is incorrect.

9? First two guys walk in each inning, third guy hits into a triple play?

    As I recall, walks aren't official at-bats.

Wait, does the question mean the fewest possible at bats or the fewest ever in an actual MLB game?
