I'm a Cubs fan, but Votto has always been easy to root for. If the Cubs can't somehow be competitive (likely they won't be), go Reds.

The only team in that dogass division w/a positive run differential is the Cubs. They're just as likely to win it as anyone else.

    (Sorry I can't blue font a video)

Speaking of dog-ass divisions, the Twins got boat-raced at home by the Red Sox, so the standings at close of play tonight are:

    Twins 36-37
    Guardians 33-38, 2 GB
    Tigers 31-40, 4 GB
    White Sox 31-43, 5.5 GB
    Royals 19-53, 16.5

It really may be a race to 70 wins.

Orioles and Rays open a three-game set at the Trop tonight. Appointment viewing for this guy.

EDIT: Two-game series, 6:40 tonight, 12:10 tomorrow. Quick trip!

Brother, were the warning signs ever there. From the start.

He never played more than 63 games in a season prior to reaching the majors -- and that was at Rice. The injury-prone tag was there coming up through the Washington system.

Then when he arrives, the Nats play him in 153, 156, 147 games his first three full seasons. Which is comical, considering the lengths they went to protect Strasburg.

Pretty sure the first series Rendon was with the Potomac Nationals he blew out his ankle sliding into third in Lynchburg. Source: I was covering the game. Just can't remember the timing exactly.
