Well that, and government willingness to separate "automobiles" from "light trucks" when calculating fleet CAFE mileage numbers.

People don't know what is best for them. The choices they are make conflict with what you know is better for them. The government should be a coercive tool to that forces everyone to do what you know is best for them. But that doesn't happen because of 'billionaire oil tycoons.'

Not sure the average US voter has quite the same leverage in Washington as the oil lobby.

The only down side to more fuel efficient automobiles is to the price of oil stocks.

It's too bad. If only "Washington" coerced the "right" behavior from everyone without objection, we'd get perfect outcomes.

No, but the fossil fuels are still in use, so it's officially too late by this guy's cipherin'.

Everybody else is insisting, "There's still time, but we're on the brink!"

    Nah.

Washington, the government - us - is meant to reflect the majority wishes of the electorate.

I'd be happy if we did nothing more than get Exxon's thumb off the scale.

She tweeted an article from someone saying we need to get away from fossil fuels. The guy—you used to dunk on her with—took that quote out of context and you are doubling down. Great look.
