I thought the 500,000 was the total they had to pay because it’s a federal case? And then people would wonder how they paid such a large sum?

 

There’s no way they had $50k lying around. They either redid their mortgages or got a nice gift from someone — probably a “gift” over the IRS maximum.

 

If that's the case (they needed $500K), then we're back to questioning who paid for it. Does he have wealthy family members, or did he get it from the same guy who paid off Brett Kavanaugh's debt?
