Badgers come to Tuscaloosa in (I think) 2025. The Strip may never recover.

Florida punches its ticket to the weekend. Hell of a ninth inning.

I am slightly disappointed that we did not get Oral Roberts vs. the Demon Deacons.

Skenes vs. Lowder on Thursday night. That should be a good one. Possibly one of those ones we remember years from now when they've each stashed away a couple of Cy Young awards.
No matter who wins, though, I'm sure everyone in Florida's locker room did a fist pump when LSU won tonight. Means they probably won't see either ace until at least Game 2 and maybe Game 3.

On another note, the bullpen and the pitching depth behind Skenes were huge concerns for LSU coming into the tournament. Only one other pitcher of consequence had an ERA under 4.00. In the CWS, that's now five runs allowed over 27 innings, including two in a pair of elimination games. They've gotten two balls-out performances from guys who have thrown a combined total of about 60 innings.
No matter what happens tomorrow or in the championship series if they get there, those guys have done a phenomenal job.

Wake Forest's body language wasn't good, especially after Beloso's three-run bomb. This was the big one for LSU. They'll be the home team again. I'd be interested in what the line is. (Just came back home from Biloxi but didn't get a chance to hit the sports book.)

Holy shit, that was a great play by Tre Morgan. One of those ones that they go to replay review just to appreciate it a little bit more.

Got to put that bunt on the ground, great play made easier by the big hop.

How does LSU get to be the home team in back-to-back games, against the top seed? Certainly has the top seed you earned last ups at least once.
That ballpark is where offenses go to die, with the wind almost always blowing in.

First pitch from your ace closer in an extra innings shutout gets deposited into the Nebraska night. Helluva way for the top seed to bow out.
