After yesterday, this is, um, mesmerizing.

Even the Rockies didn't pull this on the Angels.

Jay Johnson needed about a half-dozen Jell-O shots to loosen up for that interview.

I love that shot of Paul Skenes giving Alex Milazzo a piggyback ride to the dogpile.

The big three men's college sports are generally considered to be football, basketball and baseball. Florida ended those seasons getting its ass kicked by 27 points in its bowl game, with an 18-point home loss to an in-state rival in an absolute gift of an NIT game, and a 14-run absolute gag job in the championship game of the CWS.

And the baseball team outscored the football team.

    Gator bait, indeed.

Skenes smart enough to be on the very top of the pile.

I can't see a dogpile any more without thinking the guy at the bottom is suffocating in celebration.

What the hell would it have hurt his pro prospects if he had started and thrown 90 pitches, or thrown in relief? Not a damn thing. Pitch every third game in the post-season and throw 140 pitches? Yeah, maybe. But no one worries about the leading position players in the draft tripping over a base or a soft spot in the outfield and blowing out a knee.

You can get hurt in practice.
You can get hurt lifting weights.
    You can get hurt running.
You can get hurt stepping off a curb.
Car wrecks. Plane crashes. House fires.

Yeah, I didn't see anyone cringing when Dylan Crews was hauling ass around the bases and sliding headfirst into third for a triple, instead of easing up at second, when it was 15-4 in the eighth inning.

if he had started? Definitely. He threw 123 pitches, four days later threw 120 going into this game with three days rest

he had at least six days rest between every start except these last two, and in three of his last four starts he threw at least 120 pitches

    it’s not nothing
