DeSantis' attorneys asked a federal judge Monday for immunity from the case, which would drop the suit and free him from any further legal action, liability or punishment.

 

Don't bother with any discussion of the legal theories. Just run with ad hominem attacks.

When you get sued, make sure to tell you attorney not to pursue any legal defense your enemies might find not up to some standard for not being hypocritical.
