You realize a hung jury isn’t an acquittal, yes?

In this case, it amounts to victory. If the current prosecution team is still in office, is it really going to take another swing if Trump can just buy off another juror — whether by carrot or stick?

C’mon, the insurance industry is well known for its devil-may-care, “what’s the worst that could happen” outlook on life.

He's not an expert on P&C underwriting standards?

I am assuming people don't go to those conferences for industry knowledge.

He was meant to be the equivalent of the guy who makes balloon animals for the kids at a bar mitzvah. Except the balloon guy made one for a little kid that looked like a penis and two balls, and some of the parents got offended.

Hopefully, they made up for their poor judgment in booking him by making sure they didn't screw up the open bar.

No but he’s definitely now a case study in risk management.

When asked for comment on Wednesday, a Fox News spokesperson told me that Watters had “no recollection” of the events.

“In fact, the unscripted Q&A he participated in was well received with executives thanking him profusely afterward, enthusiastically taking photos, and presenting him with an award,” the network spokesperson said. “He was told it was one of the best talks they’ve ever held and never received feedback from the organization or his speaking agent after the event.”

Straight out of the Fucko playbook: Dismiss, deny, then spin it 180 degrees and say everything was a yooooge lovefest. So beautiful!

It will be fun watching Watters' downspiral when it comes. He's too much of an empty, uptight prick to find success as Tuckems II. ... I hope.

I've encountered some Ivanka analogues in my work here. They were their Daddy's consorts, treated as family royalty. One would be picked up for family visits as soon as off-site trips were allowed. Daddy would swan in and then dote on Princess while Mama or Step-Mama hung back, silent, quiet, sad, a faded, worn version of the young lady at Daddy's side. Sometimes Mama shot malevolent looks at Daddy and Princess. After the briefing and paperwork, Daddy and Daughter led the family to the car. Daddy held the front passenger side door open for Princess while Mama let herself into the back seat. They drove off with Daddy giving us a smug look. Princess would always give us a small wave. Her expression broke our hearts.

I should have added. ... The people who planned the Bar Mitvah hired the balloon guy despite his business card saying, "Balloon guy who makes balloon animals that look like a penis and two balls because he thinks it's funny."

Y'all might as well prepare yourselves for Rudy and Meadows getting sweet deals from Smith. If he indeed has full testimony from those two Smith has every scheme, every action that Trump and the rest took. Everything done in the effort to subvert the election went through one or both of them. If he has the sort of testimony that a proffer requires from both of them then everyone else involved is done. The line about the first to flip getting the best deal, that's Meadows. (No, we don't know he flipped, but nothing else explains his behavior as neatly) Rudy was the other key witness Smith needed to completely sew up his case.

Trump's ravings on Truth Social should be a lot of fun today.
