Vandalism in RI is a misdemeanor but you can get up to a year in jail. As far as I know (and I'm not a member of the RI bar, but I do a lot of work for a legal newspaper there), they don't have a felony vandalism statute. Other states do, and depending on the amount of harm caused, I imagine keying a car could get you there. A new paint job can be VERY expensive on a lot of cars with specialized paint colors and blends and protective films. I once backed into a guy who parked directly and illegally opposite my driveway on a day where the street was narrowed significantly by snowbanks. The insurer initially found me more than 50 percent at fault (I successfully appealed) and the car -- a standard, nondescript Nissan or Mazda sedan -- had a very complicated paint tone and. The relatively small scrape I caused to one of the doors meant it was close to a 3K repair. And that car didn't even have an expensive protective film to get scratched, which would add another couple thousand. If this idiot state rep who keyed the car was to scrape up enough different panels on the right kind of car, I'm sure he could hit the felony threshold in other states.

Most of Fox News's audience probably uses a CPAP machine -- or should be doing so.

It's a common thing among overweight, beer-bellied, loudly snoring people -- which, I would bet, constitutes most Trump supporters.

    I posted this last July.
I honestly believe none of this should be a crime. It's a whole other conversation. But given that it is criminal, it took a special kind of hubris for someone who was on the board of directors of DWAC (so obviously was involved in the acquisition) to have been trading the way he was, especially considering he had an NDA, as well, and apparently was trying to get everyone else in his life rich too.

I suspect this is a side show. None of these clowns had anything to do with Trump, aside from the fact that any venture Trump was involved with was going to attract shady people. I would still bet with near certainty that Trump and the founder of DWAC had a plan already in place to take Truth public via the SPAC, and it wasn't disclosed to the public when DWAC IPO'd. Amazingly, I don't think that would make Trump indictable, but it would make more of the people behind DWAC criminally liable for violations of securities law.

Moral of the story, don’t put a “Fuck Joe Biden” sticker on your car.

It's not like I haven't wanted to key those cars myself...

I wore a CPAP for a few months, then I kept on tossing the thing off at night. Even when I added a headband that was supposed to be remove-proof. The maintenance of those things sucks.

Last time I got one was maybe 15 years ago, and insurance covered the whole cost. Now I’ve got to get back on one and am looking at a $1200 outlay. So much for preventative health care.

A close friend was a paralegal at Philips and for the last year if her life she spent all her time dealing with myriad problems due to their CPAP machine causing cancer. Didn’t help much that they units they replaced the cancerous ones with ALSO caused cancer. SMH.
