Running tennis thread for 2023

That was a ghost joke.

 

I'm aware.

I saw way too much of Casper, Wendy and the Ghostly Trio when I was a kid.

 

Tiafoe with a nice tournament win in one of the grass court season openers in Stuttgart. He hadn't done much at Wimbledon until a run into the fourth round last year, so we'll see if he can make a leap on the grass.

 

That could make things interesting next week

 

Not exactly her favorite place. She's never been past the fourth round at Wimbledon.

 

She's certainly looked strong on grass in Germany this week.

Also, big win today for Madison Keys over Coco Gauff to get to the final in Eastbourne.

 

Cerundolo beat Tommy Paul today to win the title at Eastbourne, the final Wimbledon tuneup. He comes in as the 18 seed and on a roll, with a nice draw -- the first seed he could encounter would be Paul in the third round. Would love to see this guy make some noise.

 

Keys beat Daria Kasatkina for the women's Eastbourne championship.
