You’re likely eligible for a mass transit subsidy, which can be up to $300 a month. That includes Metro and the VRE (Virginia Railway Express), which goes as far south as Fredericksburg.

DHHQ is not as Metro-accessible as you might think. Most people I know who use mass transit take it to the Pentagon and then get the (free) shuttle to Falls Church, which is a 15-20 minute ride without traffic.

The Dunn-Loring Station is about a mile away from DHHQ, and there used to be a shuttle, but not sure if it’s still there or how often it runs. Plus, Dunn-Loring is toward the end of the Orange Line, which means you’d have to take it quite a bit back toward DC in order to pick up the southbound lines.

Went to a steam museum where he got to ride three trains, including an absolutely awesome 7.5-inch gauge track, for three hours and eat ice cream at a soda fountain. Trains and ice cream. I don’t think my four-year old could be happier.

 

Or those who think they are special because they have had a good footbawwwl team lately.
