So what you're saying is it's all an allegory for Democrats vs. Republicans?

They couldn’t come up with a better title than that?

I just hope this doesn't take the place of a movie version of Heir to the Empire.

I don't mean they could faithfully translate Zahn's trilogy. They can't, especially given their decision not to recast any of the main characters from the original movies.

There has been talk of a version of it based on the Mandoverse characters, something that tied in with the return of Thrawn in Ahsoka. That's what I was talking about, a crossover of the characters from the Disney+ shows with Thrawn as the primary villain.

There is only one Heir to the Empire, but it will never be canon again.

    Unfortunately.

Tim Zahn is a helluva nice guy. I've run a number of autograph sessions for him at Dragoncon. His Battletech books are canon in that Universe as well, if you ever played it. Big stompy human piloted robots with guns and lasers. Last time I worked with him I didn't have any of his books with me to sign so he autographed half a dozen bookplates to take home.

Nice person, good to his fans, and easy to get along with.
