What the fuck has Virginia McCaskey contributed besides putting her idiot sons in charge of decades of mediocrity?

I mean, as a major market owner, she contributed gobs of money to the overall pot, while also ensuring that none of the owners had to worry about competing against her sons.

I’m wondering what the X number is where if you’ve owned a franchise for that long and not had a Daniel Snyder-style pants shitting that you are a virtual lock for Canton.

The newcomers to the Seniors list:

    Ottis Anderson
    Carl Banks
    Larry Brown
    Charlie Conerly
    Henry Ellard
    Albert Lewis
    Steve McMichael
    Art Powell
    Steve Tasker
    Al Wisert

The only player not returning at this point from last year is LaVern Dilweg, who I think is one of the most deserving old-timey guys.

The newcomers to the Coaches / Contributors list:

    Tom Coughlin
    Alex Gibbs
    Elmer Layden
    Jerry Markbreit
    Virginia McCaskey
    George Seifert

Otho Davis and Amy Trask are the two not returning at this point last year.

The finalists from last time were:
    Ken Anderson
    Maxie Baughan
    Randy Gradishar
    Cecil Isbell
    Bob Kuechenberg
    Eddie Meador
    Tommy Nobis
    Sterling Sharpe
    Everson Walls

I don’t think there’s any reason to think it won’t be those nine plus three newcomers. After that it’s such a crapshoot as to which three advance to the final vote.

Id vote for Anderson, Sharpe and Grandishar, though admittedly Im completely unfamiliar with a couple of those other guys.

I don't have a problem with your list but I don't think that two middle linebackers make it in the same year. I think I would plug in Bob Kuchenberg for Nobis. But I have no objectivity about Gradishar. I am from Denver and watched those Orange Crush defenses.

it will be interesting to see if Ellard gets a finalist spot. I do agree with the other post that they aren’t going to put in multiple guys at the same position, it’s going to be spread out because they only have this three year window for 3 senior players before it goes back to the old way
